Launch of OBPS integrated with eDCR for Planning Authorities under Town and Country Planning Dept on 28.06.2021

The Online Building Permission System (OBPS) integrated with eDCR was launched by Hon’ble Chief Minister Thiru. N. Rangasamy, Government of Puducherry on 28.06.2021 in the presence of Shri. K. Mahesh I.A.S., Secretary (Town & Country Planning Department), Dr. Dev Ratna Shukla SIO & DDG, Thiru. S. Rajasekaran, ASIO & STD, Thiru. S. Mahalingam, Chief Town Planner and Thiru. P.R.Krishnamurthy, Vice-President, e-Governments Foundation.

The Online Building Permission System ( https://obps.py.gov.in ) developed by NIC, Puducherry UT Centre was implemented in November 2019, for issue of building plan approvals by the Planning Authorities under Town and Country Planning Department, Government of Puducherry. In order to provide auto scrutiny of building plans the Electronic Development Control Regulations (eDCR) software developed by e-Governments Foundation, Bengaluru has been integrated with the existing OBPS web application thru API communications. The eSign feature is also incorporated for online issuance of building plan permits.
