Launch of e-Daakhil portal
Sh. A K Sai J Saravanan Kumar, Hon’ble Minister of Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs (CS & CA) launched e-daakhil on 01-09-2022, an online portal to receive and dispose consumer complaints.
The e-Daakhil portal facilitates consumers to file consumer complaints at their convenience, from anywhere, eliminating the requirement of their physical presence at the Consumer Commission and to pay complaint fee through the portal.
e-Daakhil also allows Consumer Commission to scrutinise the complaints submitted online and to accept, reject and forward the complaints to the concerned Commission for further processing. As, the e-Daakhil has been integrated with Common Service Centres (CSCs), public from remote areas can also submit their complaints through CSCs.
Sh. G. Mayil Muthu Kumaran, DDG & HOD (Consumer Affairs) from NIC – HQ virtually connected to the launch event along with e-Daakhil team. Sh. Achintya Gupta, Scientist – C from e-Daakhil team explained the features and technical aspects of the portal. Sh. C. Udayakumar, I.A.S, Secretary, Civil Supplies and Consumer Affairs, Sh. Sakthyvel, Director, CS & CA, Dr. N. Raveendran, Senior Technical Director and Sh. B. Shafiulla, Technical Director, NIC, Puducherry were present in the launch event. The President Justice Sh. R. Pongiappan, Retired Judge Madras High Court and Members of State Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission attended the launching function through virtual mode.
